Week 10

A big thank you to everyone who has helped us over the term.  The ice has been absolutely amazing, so it was worth the wait.  Thanks for those people who have transported us to and from.  I can see that everyone has refined their skills - maybe 3 days in a row is the way to go.

PTA Lunches:
Next term the PTA will be doing lunches on a Wednesday - not just a BBQ.  They will have the menu on the PTA page of the school website at the beginning of the week and orders need to be in by Tuesday.  Check the school newsletter for the exact details.  Sounds exciting.

Thank you so much to the parents who have manned the BBQ on Thursdays for the last 2 terms.  Your cooking was popular.

Book Week:
Week 2 of the term - a book fair in the library. The theme for this week is "Reading For Work".  It would be great to have parents who have a range of jobs come and share the types of texts that they use in their work places - builder's plans, town plans, electrical wiring, handbooks for a variety of things.

Thursday:
Morning Programme Group 5:
Everyone has been reminded.  We will do these presentations first thing in the morning.

Thursday Cultural Assembly:
Room 6 will lead this assembly starting in the hall a 1:30.  What a great programme is planned.  Thank you to so many Room 4 students being willing to share their talents with the school community.

Town Library Challenge:
Remember to register at the library - looks like a Geronimo Stilton theme - a favourite character in our class.

Wishing everyone a relaxing holiday and safe travels if you are heading away.  Time to get rid of these winter ills and read a book or two.
